Class, please check out this video which gives you great pointers on doing your elevator pitches! Also,

if using your cell phones to record your pitch, you may want to change your video settings and lower the

resolution so the file won't be so large. I look forward to having my interest piqued by your 90 second

elevator pitches!

Greetings Coursemates!

Chapters 4 through 7 will focus on Effective Writing, Writing Preparation, Common Writing Mistakes, Revising and Presenting Your Writing.
How many times have you heard someone say “Get it in Writing?” The mistake we make is assuming that because it is in writing it is understood and it is accurate. Chapter 4 focuses on writing that is clear, concise and efficient.

Chapter 5 focuses on writing preparation. This chapter will challenge you to determine your most productive time. Do you know? I work better in the wee wee hours of the morning. What about you? This chapter addresses the need to be productive outside of your preferred time and how to persevere. I’d like for you to pay particular attention to section 5.2.

Chapter 6 focuses on some of the most common mistakes in English. I think that you will find the introductory exercise to be quite informative. See if you can find your common mistakes.

This week’s readings will culminate with Chapter 7, which will address the need to make revisions and preparing for presentations.

Remember to make your post no later than Wednesday and respond to at least two of your coursemates by Sunday.

Have a great week.

You are doing a great start! Don't forget, in order to receive your full 25 points on the Collaboration Board, you must reply to at least two course mates. Many of you have already replied to one student, so take a moment and reply to one more.

Professor Wells

In a day and age where technology enables us to transmit messages more rapidly and to a greater number of people, we must be skilled in how to properly communicate.

This is a Business Communication course so regular communication is very important. Please contact me for any questions you might have. Email and text are the best methods for reaching me.

I look forward to our interaction over the next five weeks!

Four hacks to learn things faster

Academic sessions come with lots of activities and students should always be ready to learn and struggle with assignment writing beings. Be it a tough topic or complex concept, they have to swallow up it all. You may have seen quick learners having a greater edge in the class. If you also want to learn things faster and retain them for longer, here are four hacks which can be useful for you:

1. Try to teach someone for your betterment

This may seem absurd to some people, but, this trick really works. When we learn something with a view of teaching somebody further, we focus more on the same. When you will also know that you have to explain the things you are studying to your friend or any other person, you will automatically put more effort without even realizing that. You will know that the person whom you are going to teach is having expectations from you and this will bend you to find a more effective approach to the topic.

2. Make the best use of your notes

Note-making is considered as one of the best ways to remember things. In case you are not getting any benefits from them, you must be doing it wrong. Try to jot down crucial points in your notes and highlight the critical topics as well.

If you are not making the ideal notes even after trying hard, get some help with the same. You can borrow them from your friends and get expert-written notes by taking assignment help from online experts based in Australia and US. These notes are designed especially for creating a better understanding of tough topics.

3. Try to practice mental spacing

It may sound counterintuitive, however, by practicing distributive learning or spacing you can learn quickly. If you want to remember what you learn for a longer period go for quick revisions. By revision, we mean you can review the read information a few days after the initial learning.

The theory behind reviewing is that our brains pay less attention during shorter intervals. Thus, repeating the information during a considerably longer interval support a stronger signal to the brain and we can retain the information for a longer period.

4. Evolve different methods of learning

Nobody likes to do the same things every day. It has been observed that people enjoy slight changes instead of a monotonous routine. You can also modify your techniques of learning. Because it is technically proven that reconsolidation plays a vital role in making our skills strong.

Now, the key is to practice a slightly different way to do things in your study routine. You will surely learn faster and better if you will use different references. For instance, if you can change your place of study, books or websites you generally use. One of the most sought after ways can be to get assignment help by renowned experts. Also, you can try different ways of doing the same assignments and assessments.

These are some quick suggestions that can actually enhance your learning experience without any major changes to your daily routine. Hope you will find them useful.
