Meditation was not thought of to be an art to be learned earlier. People had a misconception that only a “certain” set of people with a typical frame of mind are capable of doing meditation successfully. However, the notion has started changing gradually these days with the introduction of guided meditation. With the best guided meditation techniques available through various resources of the internet and well-being centers, it is not rocket science to be able to perform meditation successfully and contentedly.

Let us learn about the best ways to perform guided meditation:

1. Use headphones:

It is not mandatory equipment for meditation but having headphones makes it much easier. If you use headphones, you can easily focus on only one sound which transmitted to you with a close distance. Headphones also enhance your ability to hear each and every word carefully without interference. Headphones are an ally to practice through best guided meditation experiences.
With headphones, the sound waves also help you in getting your attention to one focal point.
So, we recommend you to use headphones if at all possible. However, if you do not prefer using headphones and want to listen with the speakers through any other gadget (mobile, laptop, etc), you can still do it.

2. Position: Sitting or lying down?

There is generally no hard and fast rule about the position of your body while performing guided meditation. It is more about being comfortable with your health and your own pace of learning. Some people prefer sitting as it is believed that when we sit with a straight back then all the energy chakras in our body ally in a line to give us maximum positive energy and better concentration abilities. But there are people who find it difficult to be able to sit comfortably for more than 5 minutes due to health issues. In that case, although it is recommended to sit with an upright back position, we suggest that you choose a position that does not let you distract and enables you to meditate comfortably.

3. Time and space:
The best guided meditation can be experienced with very simple prerequisites- you must be sitting in a space where you are peaceful and restful. There should be no disturbance or distractions every now and then. Even if you are performing a session of 15-20 minutes of guided meditation, you must be doing it with an airplane mode in your phone and ‘do-not-disturb’ tag on your door! You will need those 15 minutes all by yourself so that you can gain the desired results.

4. Ability to focus:
It does not matter whether you have been able to focus on your earlier attempts of meditation or not. But you must definitely give it a try to experience the difference with some of the best guided meditation techniques. Guided meditation is more about listening to what is being conveyed to you by your guide and just letting your thoughts sway with the music of meditation. You can choose your own time and space and not be bothered about anything beyond that moment of time. Some people experience the results in the first session while others need practice.
If meditation is something you have been looking forward to, then follow some of the best guides to help you in attaining the aim!
