Nonverbal communication is an important in business communication. Nonverbal communication can actually speak louder than verbal communication. If a customer asks a common sense question, the employee should not give a non-agreeing face to the customer. The customer may feel insulted and leave the business grounds. I am not bad at nonverbal communication. My face is naturally calm so the only thing I have to do is use hand gestures. This really makes the customers feel like the employee cares about the message they are delivering.

Shari, my son has the same problem with his facial expression. They can be very hard to control, but it just takes practice. A customer will feel more comfortable with an employee if they have great nonverbal communication.
