Awesome job perception is someone else's reality. The way that the audience perceives the message should be positive for the message to be well received. The information that is presented my not always have a positive tone, but the presentation can make a difference in the perception of the message. The body language of the presenter should be open and relatable.

Why do I think it is important to conduct an audience analysis prior to giving a presentation? It is important to conduct an audience analysis so the speaker can smoothly deliver the message to the audience. The speaker must learn about the audience who they are presenting to. For example, If the audience members are anti-abortion, the speaker must learn the way that the audience thinks so they will not be offended.

Shanna, I agree with the questions that the speaker must ask him/her self. The example using religion is very common in the world. A person who does not do research on the audience type can fail at delivering the message that is to be given.

Shari, I think that being prepared is the most important factor in delivering a message to an unknown audience. Knowing your audience is very important because you do not want to offend anyone in the audience. They will not receive the message like they should.
