Why do you think it is important to conduct an audience analysis prior to giving a presentation? Give examples.

It is important because you have to understand what type of audience you are dealing with so the points you make can be what the listeners want you to say. You have to able to adapt to certain audiences. There are rough audiences and calm audiences. For example, if you are starting to date young lady or young man, you would explain the details differently to your parents rather than your friends.

It is important because you have to be to adapt to different audiences. You have to be careful about what you say to different audiences because if you say what the audience doesn't like, then you have a huge problem and it will result as a failure.

Example - if my speech is about video games and I switch up the topic about something else, my audience would not listen to me because my speech is not consistent.

Kathy Wells Edwards Commented: Here's a TIP for you: Romell, please be sure to read your comments out loud before you submit it. For instance, in your first sentence you left out a word, I believe it is "able". If you had read that out loud to yourself, you would have caught that error. Try it!! Good job.
