Discuss the difference between active voice and passive voice.

    When using active voice, the subject performs the action noted by the main verb

    when using passive voice, the subject is acted upon another agent or an unknown something.

     

    I think business communication uses more of a active voice than a passive voice in most cases.

    The difference between active vouce and passive voice is that active voice is the clear choice for a variety of context, but not all while passive voice allows the writer to avoid personal references or personal pronouns to create a more objective tone. Business communication resources tend to recommend active voiceas the perferred style.

    Active voice is more to the point, clear, and not hard for the audience to understand.

    Passive voice does not give a lot of details. In business passive voice should be used sparingly, avoided is possible.
