Last December, former Deputy Minister of Tourism and incumbent deputy in Japan Tsukas Yakimoto was arrested for taking bribes from a Chinese gambling operator. The politician is accused of receiving a bribe of $ 27,000 from a company from China 500.com.

According to investigators, Yakimoto received a bribe in his office on September 28. The prosecutor's office noted that the bribe of the ex-minister was committed as a donation to his election campaign.

As it turned out, a bribe of $ 27,000 was not the only one during Yakimoto’s tenure as Deputy Minister of Tourism. The politician also received $ 18,200 in additional payments. These funds are now seized.
