As a nonprofit organization, the Rocky and District Victim Services Unit operates from the RCMP detachment in Rocky Mountain House with a commitment to helping victims of crime and trauma. Our compassionate services are available throughout Rocky Mountain House, Clearwater County, and the Bighorn, Sunchild, and O'Chiese First Nations. Governance is provided by a volunteer board consisting of dedicated community representatives and members of the regional RCMP. Our highly trained volunteer Victim Advocates provide caring front-line support for people dealing with tragedy, abuse, or other traumatic events. Crisis intervention is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, allowing us to respond quickly when immediate assistance is required. Beyond emotional support, we also connect victims with trusted organizations and professional service providers, ensuring they receive valuable information, referrals, and ongoing resources that encourage healing and personal recovery.
