I think that it is important to conduct an audience analysis prior to giving a presentation so that you are prepared. It is very important to be prepared and organized in a presentation. Conducting an audience analysis will help in setting the tone of the presentation. The information that is presented should be easy for the audience to understand and follow along. It is even better to understand if the audience is visual or auditory to keep the audience engaged. Knowing your audience involves understanding others, and their perspectives, to see if they understand your words, examples, or the frames of reference you use to communicate your experiences, points, and conclusions (Business Communication for Success, 2012). For example, if a presentation is being presented about communication to an audience of high school seniors the age of the audience should be considered when preparing the audience analysis. The tone of the message should fit the audience.
