WEEK 3 - Video Blog

WEEK 3 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hello Class!

We're now in Week 3 - the halfway point of your course session!

IMPORTANT: DO NOT take the Week 3 Quiz! In one of my sleepy crazes, I mistakenly uploaded the wrong quiz (cry). I will be closing the portal for the quiz to reset it. The quiz will reopen on Wednesday morning. I will give you 2 extra days (Tuesday, April 5th) to take it without penalty.

I am excited to see what you each of you come up with in your 90 second elevator pitch. Be creative and utilize the concepts and various facets of communication.

Please be mindful to participate in the class discussion forums.

WEEK 2 - REMINDERS

Class,

It's Week 2 of the course and I appreciate those of you who have been actively participating in the discussion forums. Please be mindful of the discussion rubric and the requirements for initial and responsive postings.

Please don't forget to post your class introductions (Collaboration section) - this is not optional!

Also, many of you have yet to submit your course syllabus acknowledgment (extra credit). This suggests that you have not reviewed your syllabus!

DEADLINES are pending for Week 1 assignments. Please read your syllabus so you are fully aware of the penalty for submitting late assignments!

-Prof. Jones

WELCOME TO BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS

Effective communication is more important than ever in being successful in your career. Communication skills encompasses writing, reading, listening, non-verbal and speaking skills. In a day and age where technology enables us to transmit messages more rapidly and to a greater number of people, we must be skilled in how to properly communicate.

This is a Business Communication course so regular communication is very important. Please contact me for any questions you might have. Email and text are the best methods for reaching me.

I look forward to our interaction over the next five weeks!
